Buffalo Boogie is the major fundraising event for the Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge. It is a 1 mile/5K walk and fun-run for individuals, families, groups, schools, and pets plus a 5K competitive run. The route is shady, quiet, and baby-stroller friendly. The event in 2011 had over 1000 participants who enjoyed live country music, entertaining and educational games, face-painting, clowns, balloon artists, exhibits, and lots of good food.

Starting gun at 8:30 am
Onsite Registration and sign-in 7:00am

• All registrants (except dogs, of course) are eligible to win door prizes valued at more than $5,000! - Must be present to win
• Families, groups, and schools have reduced fees
• The first 750 humans registered will receive a Buffalo Boogie t-shirt
• Registered dogs receive a bandanna
• No gate fee during Boogie!

VOLUNTEERS

All volunteers will receive a Buffalo Boogie T-shirt, breakfast/snacks, and the wonderful satisfaction of knowing that their efforts are benefiting the Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge.

• In-person advance registration May 10th and 11th 11 am-6 pm    at Luke's Locker (Ft. Worth)
• Event set-up on Friday, May 11th, any time during 9 am    to 9 pm  
• On-site registration on Saturday, May 12th, at 7 am
• Directing cars to parking area, starting at 6 am
• Water stations, 8 am to 10 am
• Gift Shop table, 7 am to 11 am
• Membership table, 7 am to 11 am
• Breakfast service (coffee, juice & fruit), 7 am
• Clean up, 11:00 am to 1:00 pm
• General assistance, 6:00 am to 1 pm
• Raffle Item set up and and booth
• Chip collection
• Riding shuttle buses
